Privacy Policy

The short version: DrumTick has no account system and no advertising, and it never sees your name, email or payment details. To find bugs and learn which features get used, the app sends anonymous crash reports and usage statistics through Google Firebase (Crashlytics and Analytics). This data is not linked to your identity and is never used to track you across other apps or websites.
Everything you create — presets, routines, game records, settings — is written to your device and stays there.
1. Who this policy is from
DrumTick (“the app”) is published by Phan Trung Kien (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the app does and does not do with information. If anything here is unclear, write to kienphanptit@gmail.com and we will answer.
2. What we collect
Very little, and nothing that identifies you. The table below lists the categories Apple asks apps to declare, and what DrumTick does with each.

3. What is stored on your device
The app saves your work locally so it is there next time you open it. This data never leaves your device unless you yourself back it up through iCloud or an encrypted device backup, which is Apple’s mechanism, not ours.
- Presets — tempo, meter, subdivision, accent pattern and sound set you have saved.
- Routines — practice sessions you have written or duplicated.
- Game records — your best scores in Button Game and Bird Beat.
- Settings — theme, accent colour, sound set, volume, haptics and the rest.
- Subscription status — a single flag recording whether Pro is currently active, so the app does not have to ask the App Store before it can draw the first screen.
Deleting the app removes all of it. There is no copy anywhere else.
4. Purchases
DrumTick Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Apple processes the payment, holds the billing relationship and verifies the receipt. We never see your payment details, your Apple Account, or your name.
What the app receives from Apple is a signed confirmation that a purchase for this app is currently valid. It contains no personal information, and the app reduces it to a single yes-or-no answer: is Pro active. Apple’s handling of your purchase is covered by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
5. Required-reason APIs
Apple requires apps to declare why they use certain system APIs. DrumTick ships a privacy manifest declaring two, and both are used only on your device. The Firebase components ship their own privacy manifests, which Apple combines with ours.
UserDefaults— to read and write the app’s own settings and saved work, as described in section 3.systemUptime— to measure the gap between two taps on the tap-tempo button and turn it into a BPM. It is a stopwatch, nothing more.
6. Children
DrumTick is rated 4+. It has no account, no ads and no way to message or follow other people. The anonymous diagnostics in section 2 are the same for every user and are never used for advertising or profiling. The only thing you can share is an image of your own game score, and only through the iOS share sheet when you choose to.
7. Third parties
The app includes two Google Firebase components: Firebase Analytics (anonymous usage statistics) and Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports). Google processes this data for us under the Firebase terms. The app includes no advertising, attribution or ad-identifier libraries, and does not use App Tracking Transparency because it does not track you. Apple handles purchases, as described in section 4.
8. Your rights
Regulations such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export and delete the personal data a company holds about you. The Firebase data is keyed to a random installation ID, not to you, so we cannot look it up by name or email. Deleting the app resets that ID. Usage statistics are deleted automatically after at most 14 months and crash reports after 90 days. To ask us to delete data from a device, write to us. The data on your device is fully under your control: you can change it in the app or remove it by deleting the app.
9. Changes to this policy
If a future version of DrumTick changes what it collects, this page will be updated before that version ships, and the change will be described plainly rather than buried. The date at the top always reflects the current version. Version 1.x added Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics, as described above.
