Privacy Policy

Last updated: 20 August 2026 · Applies to DrumTick for iPhone and iPad

The short version: DrumTick does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. It has no account system, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs. The app makes no network requests of its own.

Everything you create — presets, routines, game records, settings — is written to your device and stays there.

1. Who this policy is from

DrumTick (“the app”) is published by Phan Trung Kien (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the app does and does not do with information. If anything here is unclear, write to kienphanptit@gmail.com and we will answer.

2. What we collect

Nothing. There is no server behind DrumTick to send anything to. The table below lists the categories Apple asks apps to declare, and what DrumTick does with each.

CategoryWhat DrumTick does
Contact informationNot collected. No name, email, phone number or address is ever requested.
IdentifiersNot collected. No advertising identifier, no device ID, no user ID.
Usage dataNot collected. No analytics framework is present in the app.
Diagnostics & crash reportsNot collected by us. If you have enabled sharing with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may send us anonymised crash reports. That channel is Apple’s and is controlled entirely from your device.
LocationNot collected. The app never asks for location permission.
Microphone & cameraNot used. DrumTick plays sound; it does not listen. No permission is requested.
Contacts, photos, health, filesNot accessed.
PurchasesHandled entirely by Apple — see section 4.

3. What is stored on your device

The app saves your work locally so it is there next time you open it. This data never leaves your device unless you yourself back it up through iCloud or an encrypted device backup, which is Apple’s mechanism, not ours.

Deleting the app removes all of it. There is no copy anywhere else.

4. Purchases

DrumTick Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Apple processes the payment, holds the billing relationship and verifies the receipt. We never see your payment details, your Apple Account, or your name.

What the app receives from Apple is a signed confirmation that a purchase for this app is currently valid. It contains no personal information, and the app reduces it to a single yes-or-no answer: is Pro active. Apple’s handling of your purchase is covered by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

5. Required-reason APIs

Apple requires apps to declare why they use certain system APIs. DrumTick ships a privacy manifest declaring two, and both are used only on your device:

6. Children

DrumTick is rated 4+ and is safe for children. Because it collects no data at all, it collects none from children either. There is nothing in the app that can be shared, posted, or sent to anyone.

7. Third parties

The app bundles no third-party analytics, advertising, attribution or crash-reporting libraries. The only outside party involved at all is Apple, and only for the purchase flow described in section 4.

8. Your rights

Regulations such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export and delete the personal data a company holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing to access or delete on our side. The data on your device is already fully under your control: you can change it in the app or remove it by deleting the app.

9. Changes to this policy

If a future version of DrumTick ever collects anything, this page will be updated before that version ships, and the change will be described plainly rather than buried. The date at the top always reflects the current version.

10. Contact

Questions about privacy, or about anything else in the app: kienphanptit@gmail.com.
